Providing Production & Test services

Based on our own experience we provide professional development, test and production services for custom designed OEM products. Our policy is to maintain the highest level of quality in all phases of product design process, from the concept to the final product.

Phases of product design

  • Concept and requirements - Defining a concept based on your idea and requirements.

  • Sourcing coordination - Definition of electrical and mechanical components according to the concept, price, availability, reliability...
  • Schematic and PCB design - Design process includes also mechanical, EMC (CE) and test requirements.
  • Mechanical design - Housing, graphical and 3D CAD design.
  • Embedded software design - Developing firmware, drivers, user applications...
  • HW&SW testing procedures - Implementation of JTAG Boundary Scan (IEEE 1149) and functional test procedures.
  • HW&SW documentation - All phases are documented as required.
  • Prototype manufacturing & assembling - Manufacturing using the latest RoHS SMT technology (BGA pitch min. 0.4 mm).
  • Testing & delivery - Delivery of tested prototype in requested time.
  • Organizing mass production – optional

Functional and JTAG/BS production testing

Implementation of JTAG Boundary Scan (IEEE 1149) is very important for complex embedded tool design. JTAG/BS should be part of product development process. By doing so, it is then available for first prototype testing or testing on production assembly line. Products tested by boundary scan require less time consuming functional testing. JTAG/BS production test significantly improves product quality!

What is JTAG/BS?

Boundary Scan is very advanced production testing technology, which detects shorts and not connected pins on assembled electronic circuit board.

How does JTAG/BS work?

By means of BS compatible components, printed circuit board (PCB), all BS components and most of other non BS components, like RAMs, FLASHes, MCUs and other, are tested. JTAG/BS testing technology enables also on-board MCU, FLASH, CPLD, etc. programming.

What does JTAG/BS test detect?

  • not connected pins
  • broken nets
  • shorts between nets or pins
  • bad placed components
  • bad soldered components
  • wrong oriented components
  • damaged components

Why JTAG/BS test?

  • Saves time and money at prototype, small series and mass production
  • Reduces development costs and rises quality and reliability of products
  • Fast detection and simple correction of failures
  • Reduces need for functional testing
  • Tests all kind of RAMs (DRAM, EDRAM, FIFO, SDRAM, SRAM, DDR...) on board
  • Tests BGA components, which can't be tested by other conventional test methods
  • Testing and programming on production line
  • CPU and peripherals Bus tests
